Award winning Green Tech Transfer & Recycling LLC is the area’s most comprehensive transfer station and MRF (material recycling facility). This facility has been opened for operation since April (Earth Day) 2007, and is located at 2500 Green Tech Drive in South Bend Indiana. This green project began with the purchase of this property by Mother Earth, LLC as a Brownfield site with the hopes of turning the old Studebaker Plant 8 property into a green site. This project has been extremely successful utilizing IDEM Indiana Finance Authority grant money as well as EPA grant money also with the help of St. Joseph County and The City of South Bend. Environmental cleanup has occurred and the privately funded construction of the facility is complete and open for operation.

The 33 acre facility now encompasses a green campus involving the recycling of the following materials:
New businesses for this project include the initiation of business targeted recycling projects and the recycling of wood for fuel.
"Recycling Today for America’s Tomorrow" has been the consistent and dedicated phrase used in the Morris companies since 1981 when the owners started recycling companies in Marshall and St. Joseph Counties. The message remains clear, we must all be advocates for recycling to ensure a clean, non-toxic and energy independent tomorrow.
Green Tech Recycling has been proactive in the cleanup of Brownfield’s, the best reuse of materials in construction, and the development of "green projects" for the Mother Earth, LLC sites. We are all committed to protecting the environment and to make it easier for individual, businesses, and industry to be as "green" as possible.
